Travel by car on Highway 53 north from Duluth or Cloquet to Ash River Trail (CR 129), 
to the Voyageurs Nat'l Park Ash River Visitors center, the shuttle base for Kettle Falls Hotel.


Ash River Visitor Center
48° 26' 07" N, 92° 51' 02" W

The Ash River area is accessed off Highway 53 just south of the Kabetogama Lake turn-off. Drive on the scenic Ash River Trail (County Road 129) to reach the visitor center. The Ash River Visitor Center is located in the historic Meadwood Lodge building pictured above. There are nearby tables for picnics. A free public boat launch and separate paddle access area are available.

Kettle Falls is accessible only by air or water. The shortest water route being from Ash River. Boat in from Rainy, Kabetogama,
Crane Lakes or Ash River to our docking areas. Shuttle service is available for overnight guests for a fee from the
Ash River Visitors Center.  Shuttle, dining and lounge facilities, as well as two of our lodge units are handicap accessible. 
The hotel rooms are on the second  floor and are not handicap accessible.
